Team Neverland Update - 25th April 2024

We are moving into the last phase of the boat build and next week we shall be visiting the Cheetah boat builders for the last time before sea trials. There are some illustrations attached of how the boat will look on completion.

The last few months has seen a lot of fine tuning of the initial design and we are extremely happy with how the vessel is going to provide a versatile space for fishing, river & coastal tours and other excursions.

The boat will not only be used for regular fishing trips from our home port of Levington, but we are particularly pleased to announce the development of our ‘Mind Body & Sea’ venture.

This is a non-for-profit company we are establishing to provide for groups or individuals who would benefit from being afloat to assist mental wellbeing, social isolation and other life challenges. Neverland has been designed to be wheelchair accessible, has power points for electronic fishing reels and removable seating to provide more space.

Fishing Trips

We are taking bookings for fishing trips from Mid July onwards where the boat is available weekdays and weekends for groups.

Other individual dates will be added as we progress through the weeks and our Facebook page will show these with availability.

Current Fishing Trends

We are out on other boats currently both charters and on our own private boats so are keeping a close ear to where the fish are to be found.

The most significant trend is an increase in the number of Smoothhounds found off the Suffolk coast and an decrease of Thornback Rays.

The Bass are still numerous and plenty of 6lb plus fish are being caught however the rule is still in force where an angler can only keep 2 Bass per day – on Neverland we have a holding tank for the Bass and return the smaller fish once a bigger one is landed which ensures our anglers go home with the largest fish caught.

The Lesser Spotted Dogfish, Whiting, and occasional Gurnard are also being caught with Spur Dog moving slowly off following the normal spring visit.

Tight Lines for now but drop us a message with any queries.
